This week´s Photo Thursday inspires us by a couple of lines of a poem ´Paluu´ written by Joona Kivirinta. The quotation above could be translated: The heaviest burden I know is a secret left untold---

The secret remains to live a life of its own in the life of the person and he/she cannot help its impact on all the family members, at least. The consequences can be disasterous. The less secrets, the better life.

Helppo (Valokuvatorstai)

Jättipalsamin näyttää olevan helppo vallata lisää tilaa ja oravien kiipeillä puissa. Oravan kuvaaminen ei sen sijaan ollut lainkaan helppoa.

Kuva on tämän vuoden Suomen kesälle poikkeuksellinen minun kohdallani. Yleensä taivas on ollut harmaa tai ainakin runsaspilvinen. Kuva on otettu elokuun 17. päivänä Söderfjärdenissä. Lisää SWF-kuvia täällä.

Tuusulassa tuulee ( Valokuvatorstai)

1oo. haaste Valokuvatorstaissa oli kuvata menneen kesän myrskyjä. Ukkospilvikuvia olisi ollut ja sateen sumentamia autonikkunakuvia. Valitsin kuitenkin kuvan paikasta, jossa en heinäkuussa olisi kuvitellut palelevani tuimassa tuulessa.

Alastalo challenged us to take pictures of summer storms in 2008. We had a lot of rain and thunder storms. I could have picked pictures of ominous clouds. My final choice above is a picture of chilly wind on the Lake Tuusulanjärvi in July. You can browse more storm pictures here.

Nimipäiväkakku / A Piece of Cake

Eilen oli Pirkan nimipäivä ja vahingossa jouduin/pääsin kakkukahveille kauppareissulla. Eniten asiakkaita pyöri suuressa hallissa tällä osastolla.

Sometimes you may be at the right place at the right time. The coffee and a piece of delicious cake didn´t cost a penny. (Or should I say a cent?)
